Labor Day Weekend in Northern Michigan

With the kids going back to school and the last unofficial weekend of summer upon us, you may be looking for something to do while family and friends are in town, or just wondering what’s going on in Northern Michigan this holiday weekend.

The Traverse City Beach Bums are playing their final series at home for the season, with games on Friday (7:05), Saturday (5:05), and Sunday (5:05). Ellie will be there on Sunday with the Traverse City Grand Valley State University Alumni Club, cheering on fellow GVSU alumni Matt Williams. Get tickets at http://www.traversecitybeachbums.com.

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is hosting family-friendly Ranger-led Programs all weekend long. Sessions include “Heroes of the Storm”, “Birding 101”, “Pop Can Fishing”, “Wilderness Skills 101”, and more! Go to https://www.nps.gov for more details.

For a little nighttime fun, dress in all white attire as the summer fashion season comes to a close at The Parlor’s Second Annual White Party! Dance the night away at a nightclub style event on Sunday from 8pm-1am. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at https://mynorthtickets.com.
